B.3 Signal Path Routing
Path Architecture:
- 4 stereo paths: Path 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B
- Each path holds up to 12 blocks
- 48 total block capacity (DSP permitting)
- Each path is stereo (left + right channels)
Serial (Single Path):
- Simple signal flow Input → Blocks → Output
- Up to 12 blocks on one path
Parallel (Split/Merge):
- Split block divides signal into Path A (upper) and Path B (lower)
- Merge block rejoins Path B into Path A
- Split types:
- Split > Y: Stereosignal split evenly; Balance A/B for pan
- Split > A/B: Route all signal to A or B; assignable to footswitch for A/B toggle
- Split > Crossover: Split by frequency (high to A, low to B)
- Split > Dynamic: Split by input level/playing dynamics (soft → A, loud → B)
- Merge > Mixer: A Level, A Pan, B Level, B Pan, B Polarity, Level
Serial Path Extension (Super Serial):
- Route Path 1 Output to Path 2A Input
- Creates contiguous serial path with up to 24+ block locations
Independent Paths:
- Drag both Split and Merge to Path B → creates independent Path B with its own Input and Output
- Each Input can use different source (Instrument, Mic, Return, USB, S/PDIF)
- Each Output can route to different destination
B.4 Dynamic DSP Behavior
- DSP per path: Path 1 and Path 2 each have independent DSP
- Block limits:
- Amp/Preamp: max 4 per preset (2 per path)
- Cab: max 8 per preset (4 per path), 2 slots per Cab block
- Clone (any type): max 4 per preset
- Poly effects: max 2 per preset
- Looper: max 1 per preset
- DSP optimization tips:
- Use both Path 1 and Path 2 (not just split paths of one)
- Amp, Reverb, Poly effects are most DSP-hungry
- Cab, EQ, Dynamics, Volume/Pan use less
- Stereo models use ~2x DSP of mono
- Use "Simple" variants when available
- Use controllers/snapshots instead of duplicating blocks
B.5 Model Browser / Block Library

- Tap empty location on path → category buttons appear in Inspector → tap category
- Tap model name in Inspector header (to replace existing block)
- Turn Lower Knob to scroll through models (at empty block: scrolls favorites first)

- Stereo icon — for stereo effect models
- Legacy icon — legacy models from Helix/HX family
- Amp subcategories: GUITAR AMP, BASS AMP, LEGACY GUITAR, LEGACY BASS, CLONE
- Cab subcategories: GUITAR CAB, BASS CAB, CAB IR
